Australian vehicle sales update

We're a nation of car lovers and considering the vast distances some of us have to travel, it's no wonder!
However in September, the sales of motor vehicles across the nation did drop slightly, according to the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS).
The drop in sales isn't much, however. The September 2013 seasonally adjusted estimate of sales came in at 94,150, only decreasing by 0.1 per cent when compared with August of this year.
When it comes to the variety of vehicle, sales of passenger and sports utility vehicles decreased by 1.2 and 1.0 per cent in September, respectively, while other vehicles increased by 4 per cent.
Queensland, Western Australia and the ACT have been experiencing consecutive months of decline in new motor vehicle sales.
In trend terms, Victoria sold 29,483 vehicles, Queensland sold 25,696 and South Australia sold 19,213.
Western Australia sold 5,813, Tasmania sold 10,146 and the NT sold 1,607. Finally, the ACT sold 974.
Did you buy a car during September, or know anyone who did? Remember, if you're looking for quality tyres to complement your vehicle, it doesn't have to be a hassle. Buy tyres online and you won't even have to step outside your front door.
