Three ways you can prevent flat tyres

No matter how safe a driver you are, chances are at some point during your motoring life time you are going to experience a flat tyre.
Flat tyres are annoying and often there is not much you can do about them. However there are a few steps you can take to help reduce the risk that you will be impacted by a flat tyre.
Look out for sharp objects on the road
An obvious cause of a flat tyre is an annoying sharp object which has been left on the road, leading to a puncture.
There's not much you can do about sharp objects, as usually you don't see them coming. However if you do spot any debris or broken glass on the road then it is prudent to avoid this where possible.
Keep your tyres well maintained
Another common cause of a flat tyre is poor tyre maintenance. Sometimes simple wear and tear on your tyres can cause them to fail, which is why you should make sure you are servicing your tyres regularly.
Be careful of vandals
The final and perhaps most frustrating cause of a flat tyre is vandalism. As ridiculous as it may sound, some people will take the opportunity to puncture your tyre intentionally if they see an opportunity.
For that reason, it's a good idea to store your car in a garage or off the street when possible, to keep it safe from malicious individuals.
