Who makes the most tyres?

Here is an interesting question: out of all the tyre manufacturers around the world, which makes the most tyres each year?
A year is a long time and there are millions upon millions of vehicles that depend upon pneumatic tyres.
Which tyre maker is boosting the world’s supply at the quickest rate?
Hint: it’s probably not who you think.
In 2011, there were 181 million Goodyear tyres produced and 190 million Bridgestone tyres, yet neither can claim the top spot.
That’s because with a whopping 381 million tyres produced in 2011, a toy building block manufacturer based in Denmark earned the right to be called number one.
You may have heard of them - The Lego Group.
Yes, that’s right, there are more Lego tyres made each year than there are Goodyear and Bridgestone tyres combined!
The Lego tyre was invented in 1962, and they are now produced around the clock by Lego factories and found in nearly half of all Lego sets sold.
That means that the tiny tyre celebrated its 50th anniversary last year, and the Danish company got a nice present when it was awarded the Guinness World Record for the largest tyre manufacturer per annum.
