F1 glory in Spain for Fernando Alonso

Fernando Alonso delighted the home crowd in Barcelona on Sunday by winning the 2013 Spanish Grand Prix.
The checkered flag was his second this season, after taking top honours in the Chinese Grand Prix in April and bolsters his spot in third place on the drivers' leaderboard, behind Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel and Lotus driver Kimi Raikkonen.
The Spaniard was joined on the podium by second place getter Raikkonen and Ferrari teammate Felipe Massa, who picked up his first top-three finish of the season.
At the post-race conference, Alonso talked about how special it was to win at home in Spain.
"It doesn't matter how many times you can do it, how many you repeat it, it's always like starting from zero and you have again very emotional last laps, very long last laps because you want to finish obviously as soon as possible," Alonso said.
Alonso managed his pit stops impeccably, stopping four times during the 58 lap race.
He started off the grid with medium Pirelli tyres, switched to hard tyres on lap nine, then back to mediums on lap 21 and again on lap 39. Alonso then swapped to hard tyres on lap 49 to finish out the race.
Teams head to Monaco in two weeks for the next round of the 2013 Formula One Championship.
