Have you been taken with a sudden urge to go off-roading?

After all this time driving around the concrete jungle, the call of the wild can strike suddenly!

Yet before you head off into the wilderness, or to off-road tracks, ask yourself this question: are my tyres up to the task?

Even if you plan on doing some light off-roading, you need to make sure that your tyres will be able to perform and keep you safe when not on a paved surface.

If you have passenger car tyres this may not necessarily be the case, as these are generally designed for good performance on roads and little else.

All terrain tyres, mud terrain tyres and 4WD tyres are much better suited to rougher conditions. If you will be travelling off-road more regularly, it is worth investigating these the next time you buy new tyres.

Each of these tyre types has different characteristics and finding the right one for your needs will depend on what type of off-road driving you will be doing.
